Yes, #FOEN25 will feature a selection of pre-conference sessions on March 13, 2025. These sessions are designed to dive deeper into specific topics across all festival streams. You can learn more about each session on our pre-conference page here: https://foen.wab-edu.cn/programme/pre-conference

To attend the entire festival, including a pre-conference, select the ‘Main Festival Plus’ (3-day) ticket. You will have the option to choose which pre-conference session you would like to attend at a later stage.

Absolutely! #FOEN25 is excited to include sessions tailored specifically for student attendees. We welcome students, particularly those in secondary education, to join workshops, engage in collaborative projects, and attend dedicated student sessions. 

If you come as a group with students attending the conference. Educators who are bringing students with them to #FOEN2025 should ensure that they have consent for their participation at the time of registration. It is your responsibility to supervise students during the event and ensure that the group adheres to WAB’s safety guidelines and instructions while they are on the WAB campus.  

China offers several visa exemption options for international visitors, making entry more accessible for certain travelers.

Citizens of certain countries can enter China without a visa for up to 30 days, while others may qualify for 240-hour visa-free transit at select ports of entry. Eligibility for visa exemptions or visa-free transit generally depends on factors such as citizenship, purpose and length of the visit, and the port of entry.

The application process for #FOEN25 is still open and we are reviewing proposals on a rolling basis until Tuesday 31st December 2024.

We know that there is a wide range of outstanding talent across the education sector: We are looking for speakers with a variety of backgrounds and we are particularly committed to our principles of inclusion, equity, and accessibility.

We welcome proposals from thought leaders, educators, and innovators. If you are interested in speaking or participating in a panel discussion, please submit your application via the Call for Speakers portal here.

We’ve partnered up with hotels within close proximity to the WAB campus and we have secured discounted rates for #FOEN25 attendees. We also have room options for you if youre bringing groups of students with you.

Getting to and from the WAB campus

We will have WAB’s 100% Electric shuttle bus fleet running to these hotels at no additional cost to you!

WAB is located in the Chaoyang District, which is about 10-20 km northeast of the city centre. It is accessible via Beijing’s public transport system and by taxi.

Public transportation options are also available from both Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK – located 13 km from WAB), and Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX – located 70 km from WAB).

Yes, on-site registration will be open; however, we strongly encourage early registration to secure your spot and ensure access to all conference sessions. Walk-in registrations will be subject to space availability. 

We are pleased to let you know that Western Academy of Beijing will provide free shuttle transportation to and the school to the hotel partners where we secured special rates. Shuttles will be in operation at specific times in the morning and at the end of each conference day. The timetable will be provided nearer the time. 

#FOEN25 strives to be inclusive and accessible. The venue is wheelchair-friendly, and accommodations for visual and hearing impairments can be arranged. Please contact us with specific accessibility needs at least 2 weeks before the event. 

Cancellations made before 15 January 2025, will receive a full refund minus a processing fee. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable. You may, however, transfer your registration to a colleague. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: foen@wab.edu 

If you are unable to transfer your registration, the following cancellation policy applies: 

• Full refund up to six weeks prior to the event start date 
• 50% refund between six weeks and two weeks prior to the event start date 
• No Refunds within two weeks before the start date, however these refunds are subject to WAB’s discretion on a case by case basis (less any handling fees).
